DISCOVER FLY FISHING

IN BEAUTIFUL HIGHLAND COUNTY, VIRGINIA
Whether you’re touching a fly rod for the first time or this is a time honored tradition- We are ready for every level of fisherman. Get ready to enjoy this action packed stretch of beautiful river! Typical trips are 1:1 with certified guide, but can accommodate couples and children of appropriate age if requested.

Full Day – $250 
Approximately 6 hours on the water
Full day of fishing on a scenic two mile private stretch of the Potomac River in Highland County, Virginia. Includes packed lunch and drinks. *Recommended due to travel time

Half Day – $130 
Approximately 3 hours on the water
Half day of fishing on the same stretch of the Potomac River, Includes drinks.

We provide everything you need for fly fishing (except waders & comfortable shoes). We will do all the wet work for you. Feel free to bring your own gear if you prefer. Either way we have you covered.

We use only the best fishing gear to teach our clients — Moonshine Rod Company. Moonshine rods originated in Virginia by our good friend, Jonathan Lavezzo. Moonshine has quickly become a great name in the fly fishing industry due to their quality craftsmanship, beautiful aesthetic and functional design – Our personal favorite. Let us know if you want to try out or purchase a certain rod, and we will do our best to have it for you!

Travel to Site/Accommodations

There is so much to discover around Highland County and nearby Bath County, Virginia. Your fishing destination is located 10 minutes from the town of Monterey, 1 hour west of Staunton, 2 hours from Charlottesville, 2.5 from Richmond and 3.5 from Northern Virginia/DC. 

Travel from Staunton, with Phillip, is available - or you can meet in Highland or Bath County where you are staying.  
 
Expect an hour drive from Staunton.  Sit back and take in the beautiful scenery over the mountains of Augusta and Highland County.

If you would like to make a weekend out of your visit, we can offer multiple day discounts for fishing and connect you with accommodations next to the river.  Stay atop the locally famous Ginseng Mountain Country Store and take in the charm the property has to offer.
