Phillip was introduced to the sport of fly fishing by a fellow Veteran who approached Phillip while he was turning in his gear before discharge from the Marines. This invitation to fish proved to be life changing for Phillip. In 2016, He attended Gallatin River Guide School out of Bozeman, Montana to learn as much as he could about this amazing sport. He returned home to Virginia with the goal of sharing this love with others, and helping others find healing in this sport as he had found..
Phillip continues to guide and volunteer with Veteran programs involved with fly fishing, and yearly makes a trip to Bozeman to offer his time to Warrior and Quiet Waters.
Guided trips take place on a two mile private stretch of the Potomac River in Blue Grass, Virginia. This stretch is a healthy river with astounding bug life. The waters abound with trout (Rainbow and Brook) ready to be caught. The terrain is perfect for the beginner learning, and has more technical areas for those experienced fly fishing anglers. I've been on several trips with Bull Mountain and every time has been an awesome experience. Phil's fly fishing knowledge was in depth and he was able to explain the basics and help me with my technique even though on my first trip I had never touched a fly rod in my life and I was able to catch several fish!

I couldn't have asked for a more relaxed but professional experience. The setting was picturesque and the fishing was fantastic. The owner is very much in tune with his craft and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. Highly recommend!!
